Let’s start with competitive running….for instance, a Full Marathon, a Half Marathon, or anything similar that you simply can believe that’s competitive. Your choice must be bigger than where you are presently are. To make this goal more realistic. It would require that you simply undergo smaller steps that initiate the bigger goal.
If you select to try to do a half marathon, you’ve got to find out where you’re in your fitness. I recommend that you find some streets around your Neighborhood, which start and end in the same area. Then you measure a minimum of a mile with a Garmin running watch
I suggest you walk it first at medium speed, don’t be concerned about the time factor. That will come later! Then check how you are feeling after the walk. In succeeding posts we’ll discuss the way to reach 5k (3.1 miles); 10k (6.4 miles); Half Marathon (13.2 miles); Full Marathon (26.4 miles). For now, just get out there and walk it! do not forget nutrition…it is vital to hydrate your body well and provide your body nutrients for your tissues and muscles and your all-important system
